Hans de Savornin Lohman specializes in corporate & commercial litigation. Hans was a partner at law firm Loyens & Loeff from 1990 to 2015. At Loyens & Loeff, he headed the corporate litigation section in Amsterdam. Hans has represented a large number of clients in inquiry proceedings before the Enterprise Chamber of the Amsterdam Court of Appeal and in disputes between shareholders, disputes about takeovers, directors’ and supervisory directors’ liability, about stock exchange and securities law and company law in general.
Hans has specialized in particular in the field of liability of directors, supervisory directors and shareholders and has written the book “Duties and Liability of Directors and Shareholders under Netherlands Law” and published various articles. He assists clients in politically and publicity sensitive issues. In addition, Hans is deputy counselor at the Court of Appeal in The Hague and supervisor at the Volkswagen Car Claim Foundation.
